Yesterday (Saturday, Oct. 2) I rode the Metro to the “One Nation” March and watched a man holding his new, smaller Kindle with one hand, just like a paperback, except he could hold the “page” open without holding the place with his finger.
This is a PS to my pal Andrew Laurie’s question about whether to get a Kindle for his e-book reader. Even though Andrew works at home, when he is home in Cambridge, UK, and doesn’t commute, I imagine this is how Andrew imagines himself reading an e-book.
With my heavier, nearly 10-inch iPad, I couldn’t balance it with one hand–well, I could, but not very long and not on a jerk-jerk-jerk-and-stop DC metro.
