This is what I learned at the Apple Store’s project table: I need three softwares. All are free.
I don’t have a clue how this trio works together. When I started to convert one VHS on DVD, it said it would take 2 hours. This would not include the additional time to load that result into iMovie, where I can cut the video into 10 minutes (max.) for a presentation that Dr. Margaret Riel and I are going to give for the iEARN’s annual July professional conference, this year in Toronto.
I’ll start with my home-grown conversion this afternoon before I leave for an appointment.
Scanmyphotos.com converted two VHS’s into DVDs for about $60, including nearly $20 of postage. This round took less than a week from the time I mailed the tapes until the time I received them back with the DVDs.
