Friend Anne called last night from Florida for travel advice. One of her BFFs wanted to know which neck pillow I use–she and her husband are flying to Italy for a vacation.

My current favorite is the Trtl Pillow, a warm, fuzzy neck wrap with a neck brace to rest your head on.  Reasons: The wrap keeps my neck warm in icy plane cabins–I always wear turtlenecks to keep stiff necks and colds away and the Trtl adds another layer of protection. More important,  blow-up or stuffed neck pillows are (1) uncomfortable and (2) take up too much space in my backpack. Almost every time I buy one, I end up abandoning it on some chair at the arrival airport.
